Mukesh Sharma is India's leading exponent of Sarod
among the younger generation. His highly versatile
and esthetic perception of the Sarod has enabled him
to touch most profound depths of his instruments. His
purity of style, uniqueness of imagination with his
brilliant technique in which he blends the elements of
"Gayaki ie, Vocal rendering and
"Layakari" ie... Instrumental
rhythmic patterns, make his recitals enchanting.
The outstanding feature of his rendering is that it
not only reflects the musicians mood and his nuances but also
adds to the overall power and effect of the ragas. His
music is filled with melodic command and rhythmic complexity
making for an experience that is incomparably sweet,
melancholic and joyous.
